Cheb i Sabbah, musical adventurer, global spiritualist and producer extraordinaire has returned to the Indian subcontinent for Devotion, his seventh album on Six Degrees Records. Hundreds of artists in the world music genre, or for that matter any genre, have come and gone like bottle rockets, but Cheb i Sabbah’s light keeps burning and it is his bhakti (devotion) to the spiritual essence of music, and to truth and humanity, that is responsible for his longevity. Sabbah was nominated for the BBC’s 2006 Award for World Music in the Club Global category.

DJ Sep is the founder, promoter, and main resident DJ at Dub Mission, one of the longest running dub & reggae parties in the U.S., possibly the world. A weekly Sunday night party based in San Francisco, Dub Mission presents cutting-edge dub, roots reggae, dancehall, and dubstep, and will celebrate its 15th anniversary in 2011. Dub Mission has featured artists from all over the world, including The Scientist, Mad Professor, Adrian Sherwood, and Twilight Circus Dub Sound System to name a few. In 1999, Dub Mission won a Bay Guardian Goldie award in the music category. DJ Sep has also been nominated for an SF Weekly Music Award in the best DJ category, and has spun at venues and clubs in London, New York, Washington DC, Los Angeles, Miami, San Diego, and throughout the Bay Area. Amar is amongst a handful of local DJs whose taste cuts a path through an abundance of musical selections
and leads dancefloors into a hypnotic sway like snakes before the charmer. In this instance the muse is a
masala that brews sounds from the Middle East and Balkans with rhythms of the Asian underground and
electric Brazilian vibes. Whether its breaks, bhangra, house, drum & bass or downtempo the global nature
of Amar’s sets bridges a multi-culti span from the world to the Bay Area.

The Brooklyn based duo, Beatbox Guitar create an innovative mix of
flamenco, psychedelic rock, hip hop and punk. Human beatboxer,
Pete List’s effortless flow of beat and breath on the mic showcases
Rob Mastrianni’s intricate guitar and electric sitar stylings.
